I am looking at setting up some of our team with the ability to flash our custom devices that contain various chips (nrf52, nrf53, nrf91). Assuming the SEGGER software is up to date, solder jumpers are set correctly and the voltage levels match

RE: DK onboard J-Link support for different devices

Hi Christan,

The nRF52 series sue the Arm Cortex M4, while the nRF53 and nRF91 both use newer Arm Cortex M-33.
Our older debugger chips can therefore only program the nRF52 chips.

So the limitation that the nRF52 based development kits can only program the nRF52-series.

An exception is the new version of the nRF52840DK v3.0.0, which should be able to program nRF53-series and nRF91-series.

EDIT: See the "Debug Output" for each Development Kit for information on which Developement Kits can program what: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nrf52840_dk/UG/dk/hw_debug_out.html
