Hello Theo,

Thank you for your extreme patience with this.

You can change the TX power using the following function:

ble_hci_vsc_set_adv_tx_pwr() with a ble_hci_vs_tx_power enumeration as the argument.

You can take a closer look at these functions in the ble_hci_vsc.c/.h file file in nrf5340_audio/src/bluetooth.

Hi Jonathan,

I've already tried this (ncs v2.0.0, linked (LE Audio sample) controller) but I always get the following output and the BT_HCI_ERR_UNKNOWN_CMD error. My prj.conf file looks as follows:

CONFIG_BT=y
CONFIG_BT_DEBUG_LOG=y
CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL=y
CONFIG_BT_HRS=y
CONFIG_BT_DEVICE_APPEARANCE=833
CONFIG_BT_DEVICE_NAME="Dynamic test beacon"

CONFIG_BT_HCI=y
CONFIG_BT_CTLR=n
CONFIG_BT_HCI_VS_EXT=n
CONFIG_BT_ATT_ENFORCE_FLOW=n
CONFIG_NCS_INCLUDE_RPMSG_CHILD_IMAGE=n

Can you please provide me the correct kconf settings? I copied the ones I'm using mostly from the sdk-nrf nrf5340_audio sample.

The hci_pwr_ctrl can be used, zephyr/samples/bluetooth/hci_pwr_ctrl

Hi Jonathan,

thank you very much but I was looking for a way to change the TX power to some other level than +3dBm. Is it possible (in the best case during runtime) to adjust the TX power for example to -20dBm? And how exactly?

Hi,

+3dBm is max on the nRF5340 and if you want to set that as the TX power from the get go that is no issue.
