The latest version of Master Control Panel, v3.6.0, has a fix for the issue regarding keyboard navigation and GUI updates.

There was also an improvement added that might have resolved the other issue mentioned regarding MCP busy-waiting for long periods.

Well, I've downgraded now due to new MCP and trouble with utilizing more than one application TX buffer. The stalling and inconsistent behavior might have something to do with this as well, so for now I'll just wait for the next version.

The latter is most definitely a bug, so I've reported it internally so that it can be fixed in a future version.

Unfortunately, I can't say I've noticed anything like what you suggest in your first part. Have you managed to find any more consistent way of making this fail?

You could anyway try to make sure that your Segger tools are the latest version, and potentially manually update the Windows driver and firmware of the dongle, to see if that improves anything. I know there have been some fixes to the UART CDC of the Segger chip, although I didn't think there had been any major fixes lately.
