MCP version used for the test
The peripheral Smartphone or BLE Peripheral Simulator app for Android version
The peripheral Android app name

Yes, we both connected and discovered services on the android peripheral using MCP for windows. I'm afraid i do not have any more ideas on how to solve your problem.

We get to connect to the "ZTE Blade S6" with MCP on windows and Android too as described bellow, but with windows we didn't find the services broadcasted from the BLE peripheral Smartphone (ZTE Blade S6).
With different and iphone, it works fine (connection and services discovery).
With MCP windows, after connection success, did you get to see the services published by the BLE Peripheral Simulator?

This is very strange. I have tested the BLE Peripheral Simulator app for android, and have successfully connected to it with MCP, both on windows and Android. Are you able to find the ZTE Blade with other central devices? Like a different android phone or an iphone?

Please find more information about our issue: The goal is to make a connection and exchange of data between the nRF51 Development Kit board (PCA10028) based on nrf51422 "the Central" and the smartphone "ZTE Blade S6" as a "Peripheral". The test results are as follow: 1/MCP v 3.7.1 (Central) and Smartphone Iphone 4s (Peripheral)-->OK 2/MCP v 3.7.1 (Central) and Smartphone "ZTE Blade S6" (Peripheral)-->KO 3/nRF MCP android application(Central) and Smartphone "ZTE Blade S6" (Peripheral)-->OK 4/nRF51 Development Kit board (PCA10028) (Centarl) and Smartphone "ZTE Blade S6" (Peripheral)-->KO

To summarise,we need to get a success result for test case N°4.Actually,all the tests results that we have got with MCP v 3.7.1 are basically the same with nRF51 Development Kit board (PCA10028) . Note that we have got the same results with MCP v3.10.0 and the new firmware for the dongle.

Hi,

Peripheral device used is a Smartphone
Service discovery works only with the Android version of Master Control. It fails with the windows one.
The Dongle we are using is "nRF51822 USB dongle with on-board Segger"
Yes we have tried reflashing the dongle, but this didn't resolve the problem.

In you first post you said "We tested with other applications supporting the peripheral mode and Master Control as central. The problem of services discovery still exist.".

What kind of peripheral devices was this? (Smartphones, nRF51 devices, other) Does this mean that you have not gotten service discovery to work at all with MCP? What nRF device are you using with MCP? (Dongle or Development kit) Have you tried reflashing this device? See the bottom part this tutorial for info on how to use MCP.

Hi. When i find a smartphone that supports peripheral mode, i will try to reproduce your results. In the mean time i advise you to update MCP and see if it makes any difference.

The application we used on the peripheral is "BLE Peripheral Simulator" play.google.com/.../details
The device we are using is "ZTE Blade S6", Android version 5.0
When we use Master Control Panel v 3.7.1, we can't see services published by the phone. However, with a central android application "nRF Master Control Panel" (play.google.com/.../details all works well,

It seems the problem lies with Your windows master control panel (MCP). Try to uninstall and install the latest version (v3.10.0). Which nRF dongle are you using with the MCP? Try to flash the firmware on it again after installing the newest MCP.

Hi,

The problem appears on the windows version of Master Control. The peripheral is the Android application. No there is no crash but the discovery finishes without any results from the windows version but it works well from the Android version of Master Control (nRF Master Control Panel) to our peripheral Android app.

The 2 screenshots attached show the result of discovery services from an Android Master Control app (success) and from the windows version (failure)

Hey.

Does the problem appear on the windows of android version of Master Control panel? (You write Android in the title, but only windows has v3.7.1)

Can you describe better what happens when service discovery fails? Does it crash? Does it return an error? Does it discover some services but not all? Does is discover no services, but seems to work fine otherwise? Can you upload a screenshot?
