I am trying to use nRF dongle in FC25 based machine. Do we need to build Wireshark source and use it?

I used the rpm directly, but i see the interfaces doesn't show nRF sniffer. However, the serial device is enumerated as /ttyACM0

I had set the permissions to sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyACM0

This didnt help. if i forcefully try to capture by giving wireshark -i /dev/ttyACM0, the wireshark crashes.

Can you guide me what i am missing?

Are you able to capture the packets in Linux machine using wireshark with nRF dongle?

RE: nRF sniffer for 802.15.4 with Wireshark on Linux

I realised the permissions were not correct for /dev/ttyACM2, which is the device for the nRF Sniffer. The following command fixed it:

sudo chmod 666 /dev/ttyACM2
