If you do decide to give 1.20 a go again at some point, try the latest 5.x Segger pack - I had some issues with 4.9x and 5.0 seemed to resolve them all. www.segger.com/jlink-software.html

I did not install the Segger tools directly. They were installed by either (or both) nRFgo Studio and nRFTools. I appear to have versions 4.92 and 4.98c installed.

I've had zero issues using 1.20 on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 64-bit using a custom board based with the Dynastream (nRF51422) module. I consistently program the board with a Softdevice, bootloader and app code. Do you have the very latest Segger pack installed?

Found it. It's counter-intuitive but:

Go to a page that lists nRFgo Studio Win64 (such as www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51422

Do NOT click on the nRFgo Studio link. If you do you will get the 1.20.0 version that you do not want.

Do click on the link labeled 1.20.0 (even though you do not want v1.20). Instead of downloading the software it will take you to a page listing the various versions. From here you can click on the Download link next to the version you want.
