OK, so the driver in Zephyr v3.1 seems robust (with a tiny exception, I will create an issue about it). The question now is, is there a roadmap when ncs will pass to Zephyr 3.1? It is not obvious to combine a different Zephyr version with NCS. Thanks, Peter

To partially answer myself, what I described is the situation with Zephyr v3.0.99-ncs, in Zephyr v3.1, there is a complete refactoring and framework for sdhc cards. I will try that out.
