I have successfully implemented exercise steps 1 to 5 of Exercise 2, Lesson 3 of the DevAcademy "nRF Connect SDK fundamentals" course, that deal with "adding custom files" to an application and I successfully created a build_1 version of the

RE: Problems with customizing an application (adding custom configuration) in Exercise 2 , Lesson 3 of the DevAcademy "nRF Connect SDK fundamentals" course

Hello,

Yes, the python path there comes with double slash. If the python paths looks good then it will be a bug from SDK/Toolchain manager. You can ignore this error as this won't affect your development.

I followed your advice and I created a Kconfig file using VS code and this resolved the problem. Thanks for your advice.

As far as "Invalid Python executive" is concerned, I did check the "settings json" button and I saw the Kconfig Python path. This Python path seems to show correctly but instead of a backslash, the relevant subdirectories in this path are separated by a double back slash. Is this OK?

Rregards,

Sorry for the long response time. As per the error, the Application is not able to read the MYFUNCTION. I think it's the problem with the Kconfig file you have created as stated here. Can you try creating a Kconfig file through VScode? For that, use the explorer, go to your project and right click on new file. Explorer-->your_project_Name(right click)-->New file. Please see the attached screenshot for your reference.

Invalid python executable:

For this can you check the settings json button and see the Kconfig python path. You can see this by pressing the configure button from the popup error and to the right side of the panel you will be able to see the button. See the picture. If the python path shows correctly, then it will be a bug from the nRf connect sdk.
