Hi Steve, Per your initial question. The most direct path to getting it working is to use a tablet/PC with a currently supported version of Windows (i.e. Windows 10). The feedback from the product team is that we support versions of Windows that Microsoft still supports. Microsoft no longer supports Windows 8.

This was an HP tablet, and we have also tried Toshiba. The Dongle was plugged into the USB port, and on other PCs with it programmed with the NUS demo, it shows up as a COMx port. I searched on various combinations of Window 8, USB, NUS, com port, etc.

What tablet exactly is this, and how are the Dongle/DK connected to the tablet serially? Just out of curiosity, what search term(s) were you using to find lots of similar troubles/tickets? The search in our database for "Windows tablet" only return BLE trouble.

The Dongle (running the NUS example code) never shows up as a working serial port. I have tried installing the .inf file from the latest devkit, and it too says there's an error.

What problem is this exactly? Do you have an error code either from the Dongle side or the tablet side that might help us figure out what the issue here is?
