I have a board using an off the shelf nrf52811 module (from raytac). The only things on the board are the recommended 32k crystal with 2x 12pF caps, as well as two decoupling caps and the two inductors for the DCDC converter. I have a simple

RE: nrf52811 doesn't start up with external 32k oscillator enabled (zephyr with nrf-sdk 1.9.0)

I ended up resolving this problem. There was an issue with some residue from the board wash process causing too high of a load capacitance on the crystal. Once this was cleaned, it started working.
