It won't help if the device is reset before the longer supervision timeout has been accepted by the phone.

but for our customer testing, they continuously press the reset button( device reset ）, still can cause IOS stop auto connection, looks like there is no solution to this, am i correct?

(for now , I searched all the dev zone and google, there is no answer to this solution）.

Hello William,

iOS stops "auto" connecting if there are too many reconnects being made in a short amount of time. Exactly what counts as too many is not documented as far as I know, but based previous on testing it seems like you need to have several reconnects within 10 seconds for this to happen. They can try to make the peripheral request a longer supervision timeout (e.g. 5 seconds) to avoid the problem.

I agree that it sounds like a iOS issue in this case.

Unfortunately, I am not able to give any advise on how to fix this on the iOS side.
But our iOS experts are back from vacation next week.
I will assign the case to one of them, and then maybe they will be able to assist you more at that point.

hi Sigurd,

i don't use any app from background or foreground, i just use Bluetooth from mobile--->settings--->Bluetooth.

and this ticket is not much help on this.

but unfortunately, there is no reply to this question.

by the way, we can reproduce this problem, just continue quickly pressing reset button on our DK based on our ble_hid_keyboard demo.

just reset DK as quick as possible when IOS is try to reconnect to it as below.

It is quite some time ago, but maybe you are able to find some answers from the discussion and links in Trouble with background reconnection after reset (iOS) ?

In addition to this, it could be helpful to see a Sniffer trace from when the error happens. It may give more insight into the issue.
