MCUboot can be added as upgradable bootloader. Please take a look at adding upgradable bootloader.

I was referring to the directory structure of your application.

Are you trying to upgrade only the application, bootloader or both?

What do you mean of 'general structure'?

I want to update my firmware. New firmware integrates NVS module.

In my opinion, it seems nothing to do with the app but the MCUboot . I don't know if my intuition is right or not.

Looking forward to further discussion.

I didn't reset my board immediately. Every time I reset my board, it doesn't boot up right away but it freezes for a while and the launches the old image(not the image I OTA).

In fact, the project of old image did not have pm_static.yml, the partition.yml is generated automatically. The project of new image has a pm_static.yml edited by myself, which makes the partition.yml different with the old one. Nothing else has changed.

Hi,

Did you reset the board immediately after performing OTA? Did the issue appear on first reset after OTA?

Apart from changes made to pm_static.yml, did you make any other changes?
