It only scans for advertising peripherals.</p> <p>There is a GitHub example that has combined ANCS+NUS and also included IOS app for connecting to it. It is available <a href="https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/nrf51-ble-ancs-nus">here</a></p> <p>you can take a look at the zip file (app sources) to see how it retrieves the connected peripheral and uses the same connection id.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
