 I turned on the flash protect function through the CONFIG_FPROTECT switch, and the system kept running until spm_config_flash restarted.

&lt;p&gt;You may have misunderstood of some points. T&lt;span&gt;he granularity of SPM flash locking is 32K so 0x-0x100 is probably 1 32K region. Default is 00-02 which is 2 regions 64K.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;For example, below is the booting of application_update sample without any modification in samples.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;You may add this to your child image -Dmcuboot_CONFIG_FPROTECT=y and see the outcome.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
