Hi,

How have you set up your border router?

Which version of the nRF Connect SDK did you use to program the Light Bulb sample?

Did you press Button 4 on the light switch to start advertising?

I have tested yesterday with the fork release 2.0.2 as you had suggested me, but still I am getting an error "pairing failed"

Hi Pascal,

You should not need to build the Android Chip Tool yourself.

Downloading the prebuilt versjon to your phonw from the our connectedhomeip fork releases should work.

Hello,

I have followed the same webinar in developing my prototype for light bulb and at the end of video where it shows that .apk file is downloaded, I downloaded it in my android phone directly. Are there any specific steps in using android Chip tool? Can I directly upload app on my phone? or Do I have to compile in Android studio and then download in my phone?

Hi Pascal,

The guide you follow is 2 years old, so it might be a good idea to follow a newer guide.

I suggest you try to follow our Developing with Matter webinar.

You could also try to build the newest version of the matter device instead of using the precompiled hex.

Hello,

We are getting the same "Pairing failed" error. I have downloaded the .apk file on my PC and directly copied to S10 which then installed the app on my phone.

Hi Pascal,

For your android chip-tool app, try to use the version from our connectedhomeip fork releases.

Does the sample behave in the same way then?
