In order to read or write to the tags, you will need an external device that can generate an NFC field. (e.g. a <a href="https://www.howtogeek.com/278104/how-to-create-an-nfc-tag-that-connects-any-android-phone-to-a-wi-fi-network/">smartphone</a> or an<span>&nbsp;</span><a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.sdk5.v13.1.0/nfc_adafruit_with_tag_parser.html?cp=4_0_0_4_6_0">Adafruit PN532 NFC Shield</a>).&nbsp;&nbsp;I suggest to first make sure the example project works with a phone, and then try your reader.&nbsp;</p> <p>Regards,<br />Amanda</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
