I erased softdevice and write again, now the dongle can connect to the nRF mobile app.

Hi,

After the phone sends CONNECT_IND to the dongle, it should send Control Opcode: LL_FEATURE_REQ. However, I don't see that in your log.
The sequence should look like this:

Are you using iPhone or Android phone? What is the OS version? Turn off and on the Bluetooth function on the phone and try again.

The device name in the nRF Connect is Nordic_HRM, but when isniffer start to scan, doesn't show Nordic_HRM. I believe sniffer is showing only show the device MAC address which is fd:9f:1e:52:a2:60,

I have attached the log for your review. I started to log and then try to connect to the dongle through nRF Connect app, but the dongle refused to connect.

Hi,

I think you might look at the wrong device.

You should be able to see the device name as you see in the nRF Connect with the phone.

I started to log the data and applied a filter to make ensure the sniffer only display my dongle communication with my Mobile phone.

This is the result of the communication:💯

it seems the dongle is sending SCAN_RSP to my mobile app.

the details of respond is in the picture,

Could you please advise on that ?

What is the issue that dongle couldn't connect to the mobile app?

Hi,

Please have a look at nRF Sniffer usage.

You can select the device from the Device list. If the device is connected, it will show in the Device list. So please start the log before the connection.

Please upload the sniffer log (.pcapng file) which starts to log before it connects with the phone until the disconnection.

No, it requires a debugger to provide a log.

Could you use another dongle to run the sniffer and provide the log? Here is the user guide: nRF Sniffer for Bluetooth LE.

Thank you for your reply and help.

Yes, I am using ble_app_hrs for the pac10059. I didn't modify the code, just compile the original one with

Segger embedded studio and use nRF connect programmer to program the dongle.

the file path:

nRF5_SDK_17.1.0_ddde560\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_hrs\pca10059\s140\ses

I have purchased three unit of the dongle and I don't have access to nRF52840DK.

Can I connect a serial-to-usb converter to the dongle to see the log ?

Hi,

Are you using ble_app_hrs for the pac10059 project? Did you modify the example code? If so, what is that?

Please provide the log on the phone from the nRFConnect app.

I would suggest you use nRF52840DK for development because Dongle doesn't have the onboard debugger to provide debug log.
