We are using the nRF52840 for the central device processor and v1.9.1 of the nRF Connect SDK. And thanks for the suggestion about the modulated carrier. I will definitely look into using that. I see that the test example you suggest is from the nRF5 SDK. Is there a corresponding test example in the nRF Connect SDK?

For the channel map, I have a few remaining questions:

For our particular use case it would still be useful at times to be able to constrain the channel map during normal operation. If I use bt_le_set_chan_map() to specify specific channels, will that remain persistent or will the channel map be altered automatically at any point such that I have to monitor it and keep using bt_le_set_chan_map()?

How can I query the channel map that is currently in use?

For general radio testing, you want to use radio test example instead and setup a modulated carrier at 2402, 2440 and 2480 MHz for the tests.
