I would like to conditionally program the modem firmware based on whether it is up to date.

This is usually done to verify that the modem firmware that is written is the same as the one you use for verification. You can also use &amp;quot;nrfjprog --verify mfw_version.zip&amp;quot; to verify the zip file that you have.
