Yes, I am using nRF Sniffer

I just installed ubuntu 20 on the raspberry pi 4, but still have the same error.

May I know you test it on Linux? if so, what os do you use ?

Before you try to connect, could you make sure to select your device(Nordic_HRM) from the device list.

I am trying again to issue connect command ( [bluetooth]# connec FD:9F:1E:52:A2:60) to the nRF52840 Dongle and I checked the sniffer log, it seems the command is sending out by raspberry pi

why nRF52840 Dongle doesn't send any respond to the connect command that had issued by Raspberry pi ?

I also noticed that the source ( Raspberry pi ) is Raspberr_42:a0:c9 which is strange MAC address, right ?

This is the log of sniffer for your review.

When I issued scan command ([bluetooth]# scan on) , Raspberry Pi sent a SCAN_REQ and nRF52840 Dongle send back SCAN_RSP.

But when I issued connect or pair command :

[bluetooth]# pair FD:9F:1E:52:A2:60
[bluetooth]# connect FD:9F:1E:52:A2:60

it seems the Raspberry Pi doesn't send any request to the nRF52840 Dongle.

I am trying to use bluetoothctl, but when I am trying to pair with nRF52840 Dongle (FD:9F:1E:52:A2:60) , I got this error:

Failed to pair: org.bluez.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed

Could you please advise me on that error ?

Hi,

Hcitool is deprecated. Try using bluetoothctl instead.
