Good to hear that you were able to get it programmed with another PC, at least. The programmer app is not available as a standalone app. It must be installed through nRF Connect for Desktop.

You may want to make sure the programmer app is up to date. The latest version (at the time of writing) is v3.0.3.

I just loaded it into another computer and it is working now. Not sure what is the problem. I have uninstalled the Connect app and did not fix the issue. what is the name of the programmer app to be installed so I can re-install it again.

yes it is a new installation, I have done it before before upgrading to the latest version. Also, I have tried both USB hub and PC USB with similar results.

What the app is doing in this step "Performing DFU. This may take a few seconds"

it seems it is talking to the dongle since it is enabling the write feature.

Do you have any recommendation on how to troubleshoot this problem.

I have not seen that it hangs like this before. This is what it looks like for me after the DFU is complete:

Have you been able to program the dongle with other FW images before, or is this the first time you are using the programmer app? It may also be worth trying another USB port if you haven't alreday, particularly if you use a USB hub.
