Try to update your nRF_DeviceFamilyPack. In Keil, go to Pack Installer, select Nordic Semiconductor -> nNR51 Series on the right hand side. Select NordicSemiconductor::nRF_DeviceFamilyPack on the left hand side and click Update. After update is complete, try compiling again example from nRF51 SDK 9.0.0

i downloaded the version 7.0 sdk pack.zip file and i put the softdevice nrf51822 version 7.3 all the periheral examples are running properly only in sdk version 7 and other exmaples like ble-peripheral are not getting gownloaded but not enabling the bluetooth part

i downloaded the .zip then i opend the example it is showing me this error how can i solve this issue?

In the case you are using nRF51 SDK with packs, I recommend to use the folder structure instead. It is most straightforward. All examples should work out of the box, so try SDK 9 with folder structure (nRF51_SDK_9.0.0_2e23562.zip) to see if it works better for you

if i install version 9 all the examples will work? do i need to install all the latest drivers, libraries, examples etc?

i did like that but i flash the example with softdevice it is showing me flash download failed for flash softdevice, and if i select the default target it is getting flashed but am not able to see the output

Before flashing an example, you need to erase the chip. Use nRFgo studio to erase the chip, by pressing "Erase all" button. You can now flash directly a peripheral example, and it should work out of the box. When using an example with a softdevice, you need to first flash the softdevice to the chip, then you flash the application.

the examples having softdevie it is getting compiled and downloaded into the kit but no repsonse from the kit, but for the peripheral exmapels like pwm, it is showing Flash download failed, because it doesn't have softdevice how can i flash the program without softdevice?

Ok, SDK 7 and S110 v7 are compatible, so that should work. If you are using github examples, verify that it is set up for the desired SDK, usually stated in the attached readme file.

After you erase the chip you need to flash the softdevice again before you flash the application.

What if you try other examples in the SDK but not in the ones on Github. The ones without softdevice (peripheral examples) and then the ones with softdevice (BLE examples)

i ahve tried the ble_uart _example, button examples formt he github everything get compiled and downloaded into the kit but nothing happens in the kit and am expecting the LED has to blink for Uart examples to confirm that the bluetooth is enabled but it is not happening, am using SDK version 7, softdevice version 7

What other examples have you tried? What response is expected from the examples that you have tried? What nRF51 SDK version are you using?

To erase the board, you can press ERASE ALL button in nRFgo Studio. Is that your method of erasing the board?
