Hi,

I don't have a bl653_dvk to test with. So I don't know what could be wrong.
What I can suggest you is to get hold of a NRF52 Development Kit. It's easier to get started with a Nordic development kit than a 3rd party one.
After that you can follow our Nordic Developer Academy course to get started:

Please get familiar with the chip, peripheral, UART, GPIO before you move to MCUBoot.

1. Ya i tried that sample and didnt print anything in uart

2. I didnt add anything in prj.conf

3. just i build program how it is i didnt add anything

4. I didn't know how to enable UART please provide example that I can understand

Have you tried the helloworld example located at \zephyr\samples\hello_world ?
Make sure you select the board bl653_dvk when you add the build configuration.

After that you should be able to check if it can print "Hello World" on UART.

I would suggest to test with the blinky (\zephyr\samples\basic\blinky) as well. You should see the LED blink after that.

I didnt tried bl653_dvk can communicate with uart with pc

please provide same hello world uart example i will try and let u know

Please state what exactly you did with smp_svr. If you are planning to do DFU update with UART, you should add CONFIG_MCUMGR_SMP_UART=y into the prj.conf just like what showed in the overlay-serial.conf.

Please made sure bl653_dvk can communicate with UART with PC. Have you tried to test with the uart example ?

1. I build smp_svr and flashed successfully

2. Whenever i tried to use mcumgr in command prompt

3.I got NMP timeout and i refer this page (+) NMP timeout on MCUMGR - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone (nordicsemi.com) but didnt work for me

4. I hope u have answer with you please help me out and i will attach images of my output

5. i am using bl653_dvk board and nrf connect sdk 2.0.2 and vs code

Hi Tharak,

Please be noted that MCUMGR doesn't build a program. You use MCUMGR to do DFU update (Device firmware update) on a board that support SMP_SVR protocol to receive the image from PC.

Please state clearly step by step on what you have tested, what work, what doesn't work. If it doesn't work , what is the result that you expecting.
Please use stop . to split the sentence, it's very hard to read without that. Better please use step by step
