As a side note, I do believe it is necessary to rebuild the Matter library for the Android Chiptool since the building it with NRF Connect SDK builds it for a Nordic MCU and not for an Android smartphone. From the matter build documentation it seems that this is well supported (ie building for different host processors).

RE: Building Matter - Android Chiptool - Unexpected Python version?

Hi,

Good to hear that you managed to solve it!

You should not have to rebuild the Matter libraries, as they are already built in nRF Connect SDK.

I have seen issues caused by Python 3.10 when people have multiple versions of Python installed before. Unlinking as you did or changing the order in path usually works. I do not know why pw package is not installed correctly, but a possible solution might be to install it manually and then run
source scripts/bootstrap.sh
again.

Best regards,

This took a long time so if there is any insight into what the problem was and how to avoid or solve it differently, it would still be welcome. Thanks!
