Sometimes taking up to 20s to show current voltages. Unusable. Already downgraded down to version 2.6 of nrfConnect and it still the same. I looked at all the other cases and tried all the suggestions. In the meantime I purchased a PPK2 and that works just fine. Not sure if I'll use the PPK1 ever again but when I do, I'll happily provide you with the according logs.

RE: Power profiler is too slow

Thank you.
We are already on 3.5. No differences.
I got a PPK2 and it works great.
I already ordered another one for our developer.

RE: Power profiler is too slow

Hi

We released version 3.5.0 of the power profiler desktop application last week, where I was told a fix for this issue was attempted implemented. Can you upload the logging information with Verbose logging turned on for me, so I can get a better look of what's going on? You can also try to do a "nrfjprog --recover" command on the PPK and then let the Power Profiler application flash the PPK application onto it.

Best regards,
Simon

RE: Power profiler is too slow

Same problem here. I tested my PPK1 on my new Win10 machine and the lag is tremendous. In "Data Logger" mode with only 10 samples/second it takes 38 seconds to get the "10 second" view filled up with data. Sometimes I also receive "Corrupt data detected, please check connection to PPK.". I tried several USB ports and different USB cables.

RE: Power profiler is too slow

Oh, sorry. I didn't realize you were referring to the real-time current setting. Yes, this is a know issue, and something our nRF Connect application team is working on, but has proven more extensive than initially expected.

I'll add your request to the list in hopes of increasing the priority to a fix on this. Unfortunately I don't have any nifty tips or tricks for you to make this work better, and the data logger or "Single" Trigger type in Real-Time logging is the most useful ones for the Power Profiler.

Best regards,

I meant real time current.

it is a windows 10 machine. Running the same version as you (latest). To give you an example, if I have it set for one sample a second and I turn off the power to the target after 3 seconds, it takes about 20 seconds to show (close to) 0 amp currents.

RE: Power profiler is too slow

Hi

Can you explain what you mean by the scrolling speed being slow and what "show current voltages" mean? I'm running the PPK1 on a DK on v3.4.5 of the Power Profiler and v3.12.0 of the nRF Connect for Desktop app. It runs very smoothly on my computer, and I have no lag while scrolling.

What computer are you running the app on. Windows, Mac OS, Linux?

Best regards,
