Hi Peter,

There have been issues with the integration of nanopb into the NCS toolchain (I wasn't even able to build the nanopb sample), and while these were under investigation, this case has been lying by the wayside. Sorry for not keeping you updated about that.

A fix for these issues has not reached production yet. Have you found a workaround for your case in the mean time, or are you still facing issues?

thanx for your feedback. I am using complete NCS package, including nanopb and related stuff. Nothing extra,

The problem is also with generated header file syscalls/wpc.h.

I'm still looking into this. I have a question - are you using the protoc.exe and other nanopb files that are included in the NCS Toolchain, or have you downloaded your own protoc.exe?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the log files. So far I have not been able to make sense of it. The nanopb library is a bit unusual as there are external (python) scripts involved for generating protobuf parsers. I have inquired internally about the combination of these two features, and will investigate further.

I'll let you know as soon as I know more, but unfortunately I can't tell how soon that would be.

Hi Raoul,

thanx for your feedback. When I enable MCUBOT then te compilation of the project fails on the nanopb and generated syscalls header file. Theese are of course not needed in the bootloader itself, only in the application. My understanding that everything is compiled when compiling including bootloader.

The application I cant zip as it is covered by NDA.

I attach log files for both compilations with and wo mucbootloader.

Hi Peter,

If I've understood correctly, simply enabling MCUboot prevents you from using the nanopb library in your application? You're not somehow trying to include nanopb in the MCUboot image?

Additional info would indeed be helpful! Would it be possible for you to share a zip of your application with us? And could you share your build log? This would help me understand the situation better.
