Update: Good news, I was wrong.

Our developers tell me that:

"You can do that but you need to enable runtime filtering CONFIG_LOG_RUNTIME_FILTERING=y
then log_backend_enable() enables backend with given upper level. Also there is log_filter_set function which configures level for each logging source and backend. This is nicely handled in shell, see `log enable` command."

Hi Wang,

We do not have any such functionality.

Maybe create one project configuration for developement, with log levels set to DBG.
Then also have one project configuration for release, with log levels set to INF?

You can see that this is what is done in our Application samples. See for example nRF Desktop Build Types.

If you need different log levels in your logging, a solution would be to fork the zephyr part of the nRF Connect SDK and make changes to zephyr/subsys/logging.
