The centrals are mobile apps, one on Android 5.0, one on iOS 8.4.1.
The Android app works fine. The iOS does not. It will spontaneously disconnect some

RE: iOS 8 disconnection: Code=6 "The connection has timed out unexpectedly."

Yes, changing the Softdevice_handler_init ppm value is what I have been discussing to. The crystal should be left at the same value,as we want to have more margins for the peer clock. Another option would be to use the rc osc as this uses a window of 250ppm but has a lot of margin. Please consider creating a new question, where you explain your problem, so we can be sure you have the same iop issues as described in this case.

RE: iOS 8 disconnection: Code=6 "The connection has timed out unexpectedly."

Thanks for your reply, I am going to make some tests in the next days. In addition, I think I have to tweak the first parameter of the SOFTDEVICE_HANDLER_INIT() accordingly with the PPM value of the crystal. Given a PPM of 20, if I am going to choose a higher PPM than 20, does that mean a PPM of 10 or a PPM 25, 30 and so on?
Thanks a lot.

RE: iOS 8 disconnection: Code=6 "The connection has timed out unexpectedly."

Thanks. This causes the peripheral to lose the connection anchor. Because of issues like this some customer has chosen to use a higher ppm value for their 32kHz source than necessary to compensate.

RE: iOS 8 disconnection: Code=6 "The connection has timed out unexpectedly."

Thanks, that does look relevant.
