I have been trying for over a year to figure this out, but I am unable to, and I would hope it be pretty straight forward since OTA is already in the Nordit Master Control Panel App. I Want to connect this module www.adafruit.com/.../1697 to an arduino

RE: NRF8001 and OTA Over-the-air

The BTLE bootloader (ble-optiboot) is for the Arduino and not the nRF8001.
The OTA which nordic talks about is for the bluetooth chip firmware and not for your arduino board. In order to implement the OTA for your arduino board you need to implement application for your smartphone which will talk with arduino board using STK500 Protocol.

That is fantastic! Im sure many of us would benefit from it. I know you are extremely busy, but any ideas of a timeline when we can expect it?

It has an atmega328. I have attempted this project many times with the bluetooth module above and the arduino nano and have not been able to get it to work. I have even paid a more veteran developer to try and he failed. Can you give step by step instructions? Or try it with any arduino and see if you can upload a simple blink sketch via OTA. The ble-optiboot is well documented, however I have scoured the internet and havent been able to find one person who has actually got it to work.

This is for the ATMega328p and not for the IC on the Arduino nano, so this solution works for the Arduino UNO but not for the Nano.
