Thanks Jeff. I upgraded to 4.1.0 and it is working on my Mac. I had to use the J2 port to have the board detected and shown up in Wireshark first. Then I switched to the nRF USB port for actual capture.

On Windows 10 Enterprise, I am able to run the Wireshark Version 3.6.7 connect to the nRF USB port of a PCA10056 3.0.0 programmed with nRF sniffer for Bluetooth LE firmware version 4.1.0 successfully. Are you using the same Sniffer firmware?

Thanks for the input Jeff. The sticker on the board says PCA10056 3.0.0, so it seems to be the version with issues.

I tried switching to the nRF USB port, but the board is not detected. This happened on all Linux, MacOS, and Windows.

Is there a known Wireshark version that works with this DK version?

Hi Chound,

I assume the DK is version 3? If so, Nordic is aware of compatibility issues with Wireshark. However, I know with a windows system the nRF USB port on the nRF52840-DK does work with the current sniffer firmware and Wireshark. Hopefully, that will work on Linux system too.

The nRF USB port is on the long side of the DK near the push buttons.
