Instead, I see it listed as "J-Link" in the device list with a serial number underneath. The programmer then refuses to program through that device claiming it is unrecognized.

Nordic Connect has a 32 AND 64 bit install but only appears to be a 32 bit app. Segger has separate 32 and 64 bit versions. The Nordic desktop tools also have separate 32 and 64 bit installers. This is something that should be investigated.

Could you try the suggestion from Jay below? What OS are you using? Could you update to the newest version of nRF Command Line Tools?

Regards,

Have you updated the Segger firmware to the newest version? (Released today)

https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.segger.com%2Fdownloads%2Fjlink%2F%23J-LinkSoftwareAndDocumentationPack&data=05%7C01%7Cjay.tyzzer%40nordicsemi.no%7C0999ea8fef50412f5f1208daa61d5ac3%7C28e5afa2bf6f419a8cf6b31c6e9e5e8d%7C0%7C0%7C638004942256611938%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=1XmZ9rwSMxzghOsZMeEoC5%2BBzQsAOW98af3hs2wBJBM%3D&reserved=0

I would give that a try. If that does not fix it then perhaps contact Segger..
