I can see that you have managed to recover your device.. However, I have no idea why it is still not available to be written in the programmer app.. I will ask internally and get back to you.. In the meantime, could you share the entire log that you receive in the programmer..?

yes i downloaded nRF Connect for Desktop and Command line tools from the official Nordic Semiconductors Website only.and i did not change default location also.and i excuted nrfjprog --recover still i am not enable write option in programmer tool and i enable to see my device in wireshark.please guide me.

Hi Rajesh,

The error returned when running nrfjprog --recover : Could not find JLinkARM DLL indicates that it is unable to find the path for JLink software: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nrf_cltools/UG/cltools/nrf_nrfjprogexe_return_codes.html?cp=10_1_3_1 .. I can see that your PC is Windows, and J-Link should have been installed during the installation of Command Line tools.. Have you changed the default location? Also, have you downloaded the nRF Connect for Desktop and Command line tools from the official Nordic Semiconductors Website.?

yes i tried but i am still getting like this.and i enable to save the hex file in programmer tool after uploading hex in device.

HI Rajesh,

Port J2 is the one to be used. I believe that you are using the v3 boards which have readback protection enabled and hence why you are unable to flash the code onto it.. Running nrfjprog --recover will unlock it.. Could you try it.?

I am using nrf5 SDK version 17.1.0 and device version is nrf52840_xxAA_REV3.board version is pca10056.i have one doubt which side i have to connect my usb port to target device to flash my sniffer hex file. interface MCU usb port(j2) or nrf52840 soc usb port(j3) side

HI Rajesh,

Which SDK are you using.? The nRF Connect SDK or the nRF 5 SDK..? Could you also let me know the version of your DK and the SDK version.? I can see in the screenshot you shared that the JLInk version installed does not match the required version.. try downgrading the JLink version to v7.66a .

i am trying to flash exsting ble uart code given in the SDK examples.

but after flashed the code i opened programmer tool in nrf connect software and i connected device to pc through usb cable and it showing device version not supported and i am getting this error

Hi Rajesh,

You need to open cmd and run the command nrfjprog --recover

As for using wireshark, you could take a look at this documentation: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRF_Sniffer_UG_v2.2.pdf

Also, which application are you trying to flash onto the board.?

I believe you have somehow enabled readback protection in the device.. Could you try running nrfjprog --recover.?

yes i did that also after erasing DK erase and write button disabling automatically.then how can i flash code to device without write option.first of fall write option is not showing to flash code.
