1. And how is the J-Link debugger connected to your custom board. I assume using the SWD pins, VDD and GND? And what voltage is the custom board provided with and what does it

2. Does the application do something else than print logging information to tell you it's running? Any BLE activity or LEDs/GPIOs that should be toggling that you can check if are running?

4. Can you try updating your J-Link version to at least 7.66a, as there have been some fixes/patches since then (if your J-Link debugger supports it of course).

1. I use jlink debugger v9 to connect my custom board
2. The device hangs means that the device is not running, there is no response, and there is no log output from rtt
3. There are no other logs, the device stops running after connecting to the rtt viewer
4.jlink version is 7.22a

Can you provide some more information on the following:

What are you using to connect the nRF52832 to the PC, a development kit or one a dedicated J-Link debugger? If you're using a DK, what revision of the DK is this?
How do you see that the device starts to hang? You mention the "door dog" being open. Is the application controlling a dog door at a timed interval? Can you provide some more details here?
I don't see any errors from the RTT log, do you also see some logging from the application that might give a hint to what's going on?
What J-Link version do you have installed on your computer?
