I've got a nRF53 dev kit connected to it via the 10 pin connector (as per the instructions) and of course I've got the dev kit connected to the computer. The thing is that I only see the dev

RE: Programming the Nordic Thingy:53

It finally worked in the end. I don't know what changed, maybe a fresh pot of coffee did the trick. Anyway, the device had been completely unresponsive - I thought it was a dud. But it was as you said; the device still appears in the programmer app and vscode as the dk board. I understood the instructions to mean that I would see the Thingy's id number. I must've misunderstood the instructions.

Thanks for the help

RE: Programming the Nordic Thingy:53

Hello Helgi,

If you are able to see the nrf5340 with ID number printed on the label you can start working. You won't be able to see any device named Thingy in the Programmer App.

I am confused how it happened for 52840Dk, ideally it won't happen that way. This happens when you connect both DK and Thingy to PC via USB cable(don't do that way)

I just checked with 5340DK and was able to update the firmware. Please make sure your thingy53 is not connected to PC via USB cable.

Kind Regards,

Yes my nrf5340 dk showes up in the programmer app, but not the Thingy Board.

RE: Programming the Nordic Thingy:53

Hello Helgi,
