 I am working with nrf52 SOCs using nrf connect sdk. 
 I want to try the SMP Server Sample for OTA firmware update. 
 There is a tool called mcumgr-cli that cannot be istalled on Windows.

&lt;p&gt;mcumgr can be used on both windows and ubuntu.&lt;br /&gt;The main difference is that the Bluetooth Low Energy functionality only works on linux.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think it would work on a Raspberry Pi as well, as it just uses serial communication. But I suggest you just try this yourself.&lt;/p&gt;
