We have implemented option to use delta updates from FS, which would solve our issue.

The only problem is that the MCUMgr managed by nordic has issue when uploading files.

Yes, the FMFU services for the Mcumgr are functional using BT transport.
However there is lack of support inside: nRF-Connect-Device-Manager from Nordic.

Sometimes i wonder somebody is reading what have i written in the issue description.
Please answer this question: 'Would nordic be able to implement the FMFU to the nRF-Connect-Device-Manager both for Android and iOS ?'

Hi,

The fmfu_smp_svr sample have only been tested with serial transport. But it might be possible to just change the transport backend to BLE, and it might work..

Remove these lines:

https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/blob/v2.1.0/samples/nrf9160/fmfu_smp_svr/prj.conf#L24-L25

and add:

CONFIG_MCUMGR_SMP_BT=y
CONFIG_MCUMGR_SMP_BT_AUTHEN=n

# Some command handlers require a large stack.
CONFIG_SYSTEM_WORKQUEUE_STACK_SIZE=4096



# Allow for large Bluetooth data packets.
CONFIG_BT_L2CAP_TX_MTU=252
CONFIG_BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE=256
