&lt;p&gt;You refer to the objective product specification (OPS), which was an incomplete specification used before the chip entered mass production. You should refer to the latest &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf5340/keyfeatures_html5.html?cp=3_0_0"&gt;product specification&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;instead for updated and correct information (the latest is 1.3).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;No. There are 4 SPIM instances (0-3) that are available from the application core and 1 form the network core. You should see that in the latest product specification. There is an internal pin crossbar that makes it so that you can use any available GPIO pins at your discretion. The only exception is that if you are using SPIM4 in high speed mode (32 MHz), you will need to use the specific pins described under &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf5340/chapters/pin.html?cp=3_0_0_8_0"&gt;Pin assignments&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is decimal numbers. P0.08 means GPIO port 0, pin 8. If it has been P0.11 it would be GPIO port 0 pin 11. The only special case is for port 1, where you add 32. So for instance P1.02 translates to 32+2 = 34.&lt;/p&gt;
