 I have question about design custom board. I am using thingy53 as my reference design. 
 For the bare new chip I have on my custom board. Do I have to use jtag to program it for the first time to configure the bootloader?

&lt;p&gt;The ICs does not come pre-programmed from the factory, unfortunately.&amp;nbsp;There are however third-party companies that offer pre-programming as a service. This means that the initial programming has to be done through the debug interface (Note that it is SWD and not JTAG).&lt;/p&gt;
