Hello again,

Are you using MacOS or Linux? If so, you must disable MSD as detailed in the log.

Other than that, the log looks correct, and it seems to be able to find the device just fine.

Does the kit light up when you select it? Does the debugger led flash?
Could you try to uninstall and re-install the Bluetooth Low Energy application in nRF Connect for Desktop, and see if the behavior changes?

What does the full log say, after you select the device in the dropdown menu? Are you prompted to install the necessary firmware to the device, when you select it from the dropdown menu?

Could you also confirm whether you are working with a nRF52840 DK or dongle?

Hi,

I am using the 3.12.1 version for the desktop application. I am able to connect to the device using the USB cord. After selecting the device, I am connected, however, I cannot select the option to start scanning for the bluetooth.

Hello,

Which version of the nRF Connect for desktop application are you using?
Could you confirm that you have selected a device to be used with the nRF Connect for desktop application, in the top left corner of the BLE application window? The menu reads 'Select Device'.
The nRF Connect for desktop application will require that you have a separate DK / Dongle that can function as the connectivity device for the application.

If you only have a single DK that you would like to connect to and test you could instead use the nRF Connect application for smartphones, which will let you do this without a separate connectivity device.
