We want to implement Background DFU in NRF52840 with SDK 17.1.0 via a GSM module with HTTP.

Please guide s regarding this.

Thank You

So, require in application dfu with GSM.

I would recommend you run serial DFU within the bootloader unless you have a good reason for wanting to handle the DFU process from the application. This is a simpler approach and works out-of-the-box with our existing bootloader whereas background DFU requires that you integrate all the DFU handling libraries to your application. For background DFU of the application (i.e. receiving the FW image while running the main app), we do not have any official examples for it, only the demo sample my colleague Vidar uploaded in this post: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/46994/background-dfu-application-source-code/187534#187534

For DFU "master" code, see chapter 6 here: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/guides/short-range-guides/b/software-development-kit/posts/getting-started-with-nordics-secure-dfu-bootloader#h108sjziaxo3m81rkgr1has5r1d72qtu
