The exact same scenario happened to me. The icons for both apps are blue and they called similarly starting with "nRF Connect for Desktop...". When it already started I thought meh I just give it a go.

Thanks for mentioning the TP34 - this actually worked for me straight away!

If you never connected a debugger to the ppk2, meaning you didn't erase the bootloader, you shouldn't need to do so. Please look at the link from my previous reply.

I connected Jflash EDU mini to the internal 10pin prog interface. Either need to solder on the 10pin 1.27 connector or solder tires as I have done due to missing connector

How did you connected the flash programmer/debugger on the ppk2? Do you know the swdio and swclk pins?

We are going through the same problems and we have a programmer but don't know how to proceed.

Glad to know it was working. And hopefully it may help others who stumble upon this ticket if they encounter the same issue.

That being said, if you didn't have a debugger/programmer, and hence didn't erase the old bootloader, it is possible to put the PPK2 back in DFU mode, so that you could have programmed it once more through the Power Profiler application inside nRF Connect for Desktop. Hello,

Let me check internally what was originally flashed on the PPKs. I would assume it has some sort of bootloader that you would need in addition to the FW itself. I will get back to you when I know more.
