It looks like you are using old J-Link USB drivers. So first please try to upgrade your drivers. You'll find the latest J-LInk drivers here and you can update the Segger IC firmware on your kit by using the Segger J-Link Configuration tool. I don't really think it is the drivers that are causing your problems though.

Have you installed the latest Microcontroller Development Kit, nRF5x_MDK_8_0_3_Keil4 found in the SDK zip file?

Have you seen this and this link?

You don't need to worry about the differences between 422 and 822. In terms of BLE applications they can be regarded as the exact same IC. All BLE code will run unmodified on both ICs. The only difference between the two is that the 422 has ANT capabilities as well.

I cannot open your first link. Maybe you can edit your initial question and post the images in the post?

I just found some docs that say my DK has the nRF51422, NOT the 822. So this project should work.

BTW, the first screen shot error that I posted in this thread comes up when I launch uVision, even when there is no project selected. So I guess it's an issue with my dev setup, not the specific project.

I notice that the error message is referring to the nRF51422 and I think the PCA10028 board has the nRF51822 on it. But the folder containing the project is called ble_app_bps_s110_pca10028.

What does the errors you get say? You are not supposed to use JTAG but SWD. Set the port to 'SW' in the debugger settings (next to where you set the speed).

"all sort of errors" is not specific enough to tell what is wrong. what message do you get after trying to download flash?

The example app is blinky and it's running perfectly when downloaded via the nRFgo Studio. I recall that there used to be some issues with JTAG speeds in Keil. The dev kit needed the speed set to slower than the default. Is that still the case?

Yes, the hex downloads successfully from nRFgo but fails from Keil. Any idea what I might have misconfigured? And is there any way to get rid of all those annoying messages about missing Legacy files?

Just to be clear, I'm trying to do the flash download from inside Keil. I'm going to try it from the nRFgo tool and see if that works...
