We developed with nRF5240 using nRF5 SDK a zigbee coordinator.
We know that the stack is doing channel scan before forming the network to select the radio channel to work.
Moreover we know also that the stack could also change the radio

RE: Zigbee radio channel selection and change during run time

Hello again, and happy holidays.

It performs an energy scan. There's more info about this in the Zigbee specification and 802.15.4 specification. Routers and coordinator track transmit failures, and if this number gets high then it can conduct energy scans, but I don't think the coordinator does checks at runtime unless there is a reason to.
