7 days ago, The nRF connect prompted me to upgrade. After I upgraded, the device did not work.
If we plug it in using "power only" or "data/power”, it lights is not up.
I try to use the method in the url of

RE: PPK2 won't turn on after upgrade

Saved me too, thanks so much...

RE: PPK2 won't turn on after upgrade

That's great to hear!
A good news, My PPK is worked!

I re-installed the nRF connect and upgraded the Power Profiler to v3.5.3. I programed the PPK, all is done.

 thank you

I just realised that Jession has already tried the method I described once. Can I ask you both to try this process once more, ensuring that you are connecting to the right port (data/power) and with a working USB cable?

I see that there are many cases of people overwriting the PPK2 firmware:

PPK2 stop functioning after firmware update PPK2 suddenly stopped working. PPK2 bricked?

For some this process worked, but some also seemingly had a bricked device.

One DevZone user also overwrote his bootloader, when he tried to fix this issue using an external debugger:

PPK2 Power Profiler Bricked?

Since he had the debugger, he was able to restore the device as well.

I'll discuss this with my colleagues. Let me know if you make any progress!

Best regards,

I see there are references to our Bluetooth Low Energy app in your log. Maybe you already knew this, but I think what happened is that you have accidentally flashed the BLE app firmware to your Power Profiler:

In the Bluetooth Low Energy app in nRF Connect for Desktop, when you select a device (Power Profiler in this case), it asks you to confirm whether you want to install the "companion" firmware for the BLE app (which is needed for BLE sniffing with an nRF Development Kit). This doesn't make sense for a power profiler, but it asks you regardless:

So you've overwritten the actual Power Profiler firmware. To restore the Power Profiler firmware, you can do the following:

Disconnect all other Nordic devices from the computer, turn off the kit and remove it from the plastic by removing the four screws. Insert USB to J2 (USB DATA/POWER). Short a connection between GND (e.g on the four pin power output header) to TP34 on the PPK2. While holding the jumper cable, turn the kit on and remove the jumper. Now the PPK2 should be in bootloader again.

Open the PPK app, and select the device which is now just a serial number.

When selecting it, the user will be prompted to program the application and it should now be working again.

Once you've done that, you should be able to use the device with the Power Profiler app as usual. Hope this helps.

Best regards,
