same problem here,once it detected in nrfgo studio but due to loose connection flash corrupted,now i wont detect my nrf52832 board in any tool(nrfgo,jflash,jlink command etc).please help me out.

Figured out my problem. Low voltage at the programming port. Ensuring my VCC connection at segger was 3.0V has solved the nrfjprog and erase-all errors that I've been seeing.

Manually attempting to do this with nrfjprog version 8, I get: "JlinkARM DLL reported an error", and looking into the log, I see "JlinkARM.dll ReadMemU32 returned error -1"

Same problem here started occurring for no notable reason. I've uninstalled all versions of J-link, and nRFgo Studio, installed the latest (1.21.1.3) nRFgo Studio including the tools which comes with Segger v510d, rebooted, made sure the Segger directory was in my path, made sure the registry entry "InstallPath" was pointed to the right Segger directory -- all in vein. No luck, still get the problem when trying to "erase all"; noting that "programming" a chip works just fine.

More: What's interesting, is this only happens when using the nRF5x Programming tab, and doesn't happen if I try and "erase all" under the "nRF51 evaluation Boards" section for my PCA10001.

unfortunately i still did not find the time to do more experiments with the development kit. But meanwhile i changed my operating system to linux. so anyway i need to start from all the beginning again next time ;)

I have the same OS version you mentioned sfueller, and I see no problems. Its hard to help when we cannot reproduce this. Something must be with the installation . Are you sure that nothing in the installation process failed? It might be possible that there are older versions of segger in your registry which are not available in your disk. Because nrfgo looks for this dll info from registry and if it can't find it then it was given wrong information from registry. Tryout some registry cleaner tools (backup first)
