Yes, I have tried it, seems to work here yes. Though P1.00 is also connected to the SEGGER interface MCU, so you may need to actually flip the switches on the FLOW CONTROL (VCOM0/2) on the nRF5340-DK.

Looks like you also need to make a <your_project_folder>\hci_rpmsg\prj.conf file, this conf file should contain:

CONFIG_BT_CTLR_DEBUG_PINS_CPUAPP=n

I can see that by default the application core will also forward control over this pin from the application core to the network core in the nrf-gpio-forwarder: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-zephyr/blob/main/boards/arm/nrf5340dk_nrf5340/nrf5340_cpuapp_common.dts#L107

So you will need to change this also.

Not sure what board you are using, but typically 1.00 is used by logging (UART) for the netcore:
