FWIW, I also tried updating anaconda to 2022.05... and then having an export to

/opt/nordic/ncs/toolchains/v2.2.0/bin

after the conda setup... still fails.

Anaconda must be deactivated and then a subsequently started vscode session from the shell will work properly with the nordic tool suite.

That didn't really help.

I always start vscode from a shell. After more attempts I saw few patterns in the error messages -- they would change.

On a hunch I removed anaconda 2021.11 from my environment and... things seem to work reliably.

Hello,

Please try running west update once and try to build the application again. Use toolchain manger to open the command prompt, if you tried the other way around.

Perhaps a better and more basic sample would have been:

nrf/samples/nrf5340/multicore

It failed similarly and with v2.1.2.
