Thank you for the detailed confirmation, Elfving. I want to set OPENTHREAD_MANUAL_START=n since I want the RCP Thread network start automatically and build a network using the configuration I define in the prj.conf.

I guess there's no way then

The config OPENTHREAD_MANUAL_START is automatically selected by the config CONFIG_OPENTHREAD_COPROCESSOR. You can see this here, on the page describing the config OPENTHREAD_MANUAL_START.

Right, you shouldn't have to manually edit anything in .config. Could you expand on why you need to remove OPENTHREAD_MANUAL_START?
