Thanks for confirming that it worked. I agree, there should be a check for compatibility in nrfjprog. I will forward this suggestion internally.

Hello,

I wonder if there may be a compatibility issue between the Jlink driver and nrfjprog. I have not experienced this issue on Ubuntu, at least. Could you please try to install 10.18.1 (latest version at the time of writing) along with JLink v7.80c and see if you get the same result?

The jlink installer is included in the tarball here: https://nsscprodmedia.blob.core.windows.net/prod/software-and-other-downloads/desktop-software/nrf-command-line-tools/sw/versions-10-x-x/10-18-1/nrf-command-line-tools-10.18.1_linux-amd64.tar.gz.
