I have run into an issue where gpio pins I could use before are no longer usable and pins that I am allowed to use crash the app as well.
It is recommended to use node labels to get devices and to use DEVICE_DT_GET instead of device_get_binding. In your case, this would look something like the following:

	//gpio_0 = device_get_binding("GPIO_0");
	//gpio_1 = device_get_binding("GPIO_1");

	gpio_0 = DEVICE_DT_GET(DT_NODELABEL(gpio0));
	gpio_1 = DEVICE_DT_GET(DT_NODELABEL(gpio1));

For more information about these changes, please see the Zephyr release notes: Zephyr release notes 3.2 - Devicetree.

Please let me know whether this can help or not.

Thanks,
Amanda H.
